Lancia Thema 8.32 Series 1

About this Quattro-Porte:

Lancia Thema 8.32 Series 1
Lancia hasn’t delivered the market with very interesting models since the 1980′s, but once in a while a mentally ill employee pops out an insane car such as the Delta HF Integrale or this Thema 8.32. In 1986 the Thema 8.32 was launched at the Turin Motor Show featuring a transverse-mounted Ferrari V8 engine. At that time the 8.32 was the fastest front wheel drive automobile in the market. The 2.9 liter V8 Ferrari motor was the exact same engine as mounted in the Ferrari 308 and Mondial Quattrovalvole. It was seriously fast and externally recognizable from the regular Thema featuring Ferrari style wheels, yellow badging/striping, a special grille and the retractable rear spoiler ‘hidden’ in the deck lid. Internally the luxury was same as the LX versions, but with a special hand made wood-and-leather interior by Poltrona Frau. Some cars also had the for Lancia well-known alcantara interior. Maybe the Thema is not as special as some of the other cars featured on this site, but the 8.32 is really special car and a true Quattro-Porte!
